VISITOR INFORMATION

General Information

Visitation Call is held on Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays. Visitation hours are normally 12:30-3 p.m., although changes may occur. Holiday visitation is authorized for New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Transportation is available to the PCF by rental car or taxi. Rental cars are available at the airport and rental car companies can be found in the Yellow Pages. Taxis are available 24-hours a day and can be contacted by checking the Yellow Pages. 

Dress Code 

The uniform for prisoners and military members visiting in uniform will be clean and worn properly. The following civilian attire is considered inappropriate and guest wearing such attire shall be refused visitation:

  • Military clothing with ownership marking

  • Tank-top shirts

  • Cut-offs/unhemmed shorts/short shorts

  • Bare feet

  • Rubber shower shoes

  • Halters/tops which display the bare midriff

  • Any clothing revealing under garments or which is see-through

  • White undershirts as outer garments

  • Uncovered hair rollers

  • Any clothing or dress appearance that would affect good order and discipline


Prisoner Visitation Information

The visitor's entrance is located on the quarterdeck between flagpoles. Personal identification in the form of a picture ID will also be required of each visitor in order to enter the PCF visitation area. The picture ID will be exchanged for a PCF visitor's badge at the time of visitor registration and it will be returned at the conclusion of the visit upon return of the visitor's badge. Children under the age of 16 and will not be required to surrender a picture ID.

Prisoners are not permitted to give or receive any objects to/from visitors. Photographs may not be viewed or received during visitation. Visitors are required to deposit handbags, luggage, packages, etc., in lockers provided prior to entering the Visitation Room.

Visitors under the age of 18 will not be permitted unless they are a spouse or are accompanied by one of their parents. An exception can be made in the case of your legal dependents, if an adult accompanies the dependents. You are permitted to hold your children (infants to 5 years of age). Visitors with small children (5 years old and below) may bring into PCF small toys or books that are approved by the visitation supervisor. Visitors with infants may take a diaper bag into the visitation areas, diapers will be changed in the bathroom. One bottle will be allowed in the visitation room. Visitors are required to maintain control over their children. Running and loud/noisy behavior are not permitted.

Prisoners may engage in a short embrace, kiss, or handshake with visitors, within the bounds of good taste, at the beginning and end of the visit are permitted. Hand holding above the table is permitted.

Driving Directions

The PCF is located on Naval Air Station Jacksonville, at the corner of Allegheny Rd and Seabee Dr.  Visitors may take the main gate Yorktown Ave., or Birmingham Ave. off of Roosevelt Blvd. From the Yorktown gate, turn right on Allegheny Rd (first right) and then a right on Seabee Dr. From Birmingham Ave, take a right at Allegheny Rd (first right) and then a right at Seabee Dr. 

 

Parking

Visitors driving their own vehicles should proceed to the Yorktown entrance gate off Roosevelt Blvd. and have picture ID (i.e. driver's license, government ID), automobile registration, and proof of auto insurance available in order to receive a NAS Jacksonville visitor's pass. Parking is available in front of TPU/PCF facility.
