Civilian recruiters looking for veterans to hire:
NAS Jax has a Transition Assistance Program (TAP) to assist personnel leaving the military find work in the civilian world.  The TAP coordinators often provide information on recruiters to the transitioning personnel.  You may contact the TAP program at (904) 542-5745 or E-mail: TAP Coordinator

How do I find a civilian/contract job at NAS Jacksonville?

History (NAS Jax, Navy)
We have a large selection on our Web site.  Please visit our History Home, or using the navigation bar at the top, select "History," and you will find photos of aircraft and buildings throughout the years.
You may also find some useful information at the Naval Historical Center: http://www.history.navy.mil/

Locating Personnel
How do I find people I think might be/might have been stationed at NAS Jacksonville?
If you know they are at NAS Jax, contact their command using our phone directory
If you are not sure if they are on NAS Jax or at another command, look for them in our Navy/Marine Corps White Pages (if you are at a .mil)
Search for their names on the Internet, send a letter to their last known address or call information in the city in which they last resided.
Or you can try DefenseLINK

NAS Jax does not maintain records on personnel who may have been stationed here in the past.
If they are deceased and you are the next of kin, you can request their service record from the National Archives or though the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Other suggestions: do a Web search for them by various combinations of their name, rank/rate, commands in which they served. Also contact reunion groups (many military reunion groups may be found online).

Phone Numbers
See the phone directory or call the NAS Quarterdeck at (904) 542-2338 for information.
