Functional Areas of Operation

N6 – IT Director

The Office of the NASCC Information Officer (N6) delivers common, business and operational IT services as part of the overall IT service activity. N6 provides advice on all matters that are IT-related and enables the business and operational functions of NASCC by providing strategic and tactical support to leverage information technology to accomplish the mission and provide better ways to receive, process, visualize, distribute and leverage existing data. Responsibility for delivery of IT services is spread across branches as follows:

N61 – Control, Communications and Protection (C3P) Ashore

C3P Ashore provides local support services for PS-NET enterprise systems.  Services include technical, analytical and troubleshooting of equipment in support of the mission-critical CNIC programs including: Enterprise Land Mobile Radio (ELMR); LAMAS, Rapidgate, and Navy Emergency Response Management System (NERMS);

N64 – Information Assurance/Security Services (IA)

N64 maintains the Information Assurance (IA) program for NASCC, thereby ensuring all our applications and networks are secured and compliant with applicable executive, federal, DoD, DON, and CNIC regulations related to IA/Cyber Security.  N64 ensures all CNIC users are properly trained and aware of their role as related to cyber defense. 

N65 – Managed IT Services

N65 manages NASCC’s NMCI/NGEN Program, Legacy systems, Telephony Services, Wireless Devices, Multi-Functional Devices, and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Services.
