- NOVA's mission is to champion dignity and compassion for those harmed by crime and crisis. Founded in 1975, NOVA is the oldest national victim assistance organization. NOVA's website provides links to crime victim compensation links and crime victim rights, including addressing financial crimes and emotional trauma. There is a State Compensation List, from which victims of crime can obtain guidance and information pertinent to their state.
