Providing a safe, secure environment, our Child Development Center (CDC), supplies so much more than coloring books and toys. Serving children newborn to 5 years old, the Center strives to provide the highest quality childcare while enhancing the development of each individual child. The Center is open to all military, active or retired, DoD personnel and DoD contractors. The Child Development Center is open Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The fee structure for full-time care is regulated by the Department of Defense. Hourly or drop-in care is limited due to space availability. Child Development Homes Program
The Child Development Homes (CDH) Program at NAS Meridian offers an opportunity for children to be cared for in a family home environment. The program allows military spouses & retirees to begin a career of their own–caring for our smallest residents. CDH providers can enjoy the satisfaction of self-employment, the convenience of working at home and the enjoyment of caring for children. After completing training in CPR, first aid, record keeping, and child development, CDH providers can take care of up to six children.

School-Aged Care Program
The School-Aged Care program is a program that is available for dependents of military and DoD personnel for your children ages kindergarten through 12 years. Certified counselors help children with homework, arts, crafts, nature, and other activities. All counselors have experience in childhood education, and are CPR and first aid certified for your child’s safety.
During the summer, SAC offers day camp as well as planned field trips, hikes, afternoon swims, and much more. A Christmas camp is also offered during Winter break. For more info call (601) 679-5252.
