NAS Key West Sailors receive educational service/counseling and support via the Navy's Virtual Education Center. Sailors interested in pursuing a degree or certification should contact the VEC by calling (877) 838-1659, DSN 492-4684 or commercial (757) 492-4684 between 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. (ET), Monday - Friday. Fax requests to (747) 492-5095. More information is also available at www.navycollege.navy.mil. Sailors do have the opportunity to take the Defense Activity Non-Traditional Education Support testing, including the ACT and SAT at scheduled times during the year.

Saint Leo University does provide on-base education programs at NAS Key West. The institution is a Liberal Arts University offering associate's and bachelor's degrees in several disciplines.
