Captain Tracy R. Isaac

CAPT Isaac is a native of New York, NY and attended SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1993. She was commissioned a LTJG in the Navy Nurse Corps in 2001. Prior to joining the Nurse Corps, she worked as a Medical-Surgical Nurse (Liver & Kidney Transplant Unit-Mt. Sinai Hospital), Public Health Nurse, Supervising Public Health Nurse, and District Supervising Public Health Nurse for the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, School Health Program. CAPT Isaac is a board-certified Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist and Ambulatory Care Nurse and earned her doctoral degree in Health Science from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FL, in 2018.
 
Her distinguished career includes clinical and leadership positions at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, where she deployed with 2nd FSSG 2nd Medical Battalion, National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) Bethesda, U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa, Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, Naval Hospital Jacksonville, and National Defense University (NDU). Following her NNMC assignment, she attended graduate school at The Catholic University of America as a full-time student in the Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Educator Program. Upon graduation, she reported to Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan, where she served as Department Head/Clinical Nurse Specialist, Multi-Service Ward and Head of Staff Education and Training from 2007 to 2009. At Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, she subsequently served as Department Head, Education and Training; Clinic Manager, Family Medicine Department; and Senior Nurse, Directorate for Medical Services. She transferred to Naval Hospital Jacksonville in 2014, where she served as Assistant Department Head, Family Medicine, and assumed her duties as Director for Mental Health in 2015.
 
CAPT Isaac served as the NDU Command Nurse, Fort McNair, Washington, DC, from 2017 to 2018. As a member of the Health and Fitness Directorate, she administered preventive and executive medical health care to 1,800 students and faculty at NDU colleges. Additionally, she coordinated and provided travel preventive medicine to 200 officers in the CAPSTONE General and Flag Officer Course. In June 2019, she completed her Masters of Science in National Resource Strategy from the NDU’s Dwight E. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. She was the Nurse Corps Staff Inspector at the Office of Medical Inspector General, U.S. Bureau of Medical and Surgery from July 2019 until April 2022. In May 2022, CAPT Isaac served as Executive Officer of Navy Medicine Operational Training Command in Pensacola, Florida, from May 2022 to May 2024. She assumed command as Commanding Officer, Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Beaufort, Naval Support Facility Beaufort and Director, Naval Hospital Beaufort in June 2024.
 
CAPT Isaac’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (x3), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Expeditionary Service Medal (FMF Combat Operation Insignia), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (x2), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.
