CMDCM(SW/AW) Jeremy Konopka

CMC Jeremy M. Konopka enlisted in January 1995. He completed basic training in March 1995 followed by basic enlisted submarine school (BESS) and electronics technician communications 'A' schools. 

Following initial training, he reported aboard USS Boston (SSN 703) in the Radio Division. Subsequent sea tours included USS Memphis (SSN 691) as LCPO/NAVOPS and Dept. LCPO. While ashore, CMC Konopka served on Submarine Group 10 Staff in Kings Bay, Georgia, Submarine Squadron 15 in Guam. 

CMC Konopka finished top of his class in journeyman electronic training in January 2004. He graduated from the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy in Newport, Rhode Island in April 2012. In May 2012 he completed the command master chief and chief of the boat course. 

He completed command tours as Chief of the Boat aboard USS Henry M. Jackson Gold (SSBN 730, Command Master Chief at Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA 192). Command Master Chief at Navy Recruiting District in Jacksonville, Florida and currently serves as the Command Master Chief of Naval Support Activity, Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina. 

CMC Konopka’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards) and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards).
