Commander Jeremy A. Lord

Commander Jeremy Lord, a native of Leo, Indiana, graduated from Oregon State University in June 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Radiation Health Physics. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University-Shreveport in 2019. He received his commission via the Seaman to Admiral-21 (STA-21) program.
At sea, his first tour was aboard USS Philadelphia (SSN 690) as the Electrical Officer, Assistant Operations Officer, Damage Control Assistant, and Diving Officer, completing a deployment and inactivation availability with decommissioning. He also served as the Strategic Weapons Officer aboard USS Nevada (SSBN 733) (BLUE) from 2014 to 2017, where he completed four strategic deterrent patrols and was awarded the Battle Efficiency “E” for Submarine Squadron SEVENTEEN in 2015.
His shore assignments include Assistant Professor of Naval Science at Florida A&M University Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps, Strategic Weapons Officer at Submarine Squadron TWENTY, and Executive Officer at TRIDENT Training Facility Kings Bay. 
In November 2022, he reported aboard Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay as the Executive Officer.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals (two awards), and various other unit and campaign level awards. He has been selected for Commanding Officer Special Mission by the 2022 CO/XO Selection Board.
