CMDCS(SW/SCW) Mark E. House

Command Senior Chief House is a native of San Diego, California. He enlisted in the United States Navy in June of 1999 and received basic training at Recruit Training Command followed by Seaman Apprentice Training (ATD) at Great Lakes, Illinois.
 
In October 1999, he reported to his first assignment USS Lake Champlain (CG 57) in San Diego, California. His second assignment was USS Elliot (DD 967) in San Diego, California until it was decommissioned in December 2003.

His following commands include:
Amphibious Construction Battalion ONE; USS Kidd (DDG 100) where he was a plankowner and promoted to Chief Petty Officer in September 2008; USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53) as Deck Division Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO) from October 2008 – January 2011; Arco (ARDM 5) as Deck Department LCPO and Dockmaster from January 2011 – July 2014; USS Typhoon (PC 5) as a Senior Enlisted Advisor from August 2014 – November 2015; USS Ralph Johnson (DDG 114) as Operations DLCPO from November 2015 – May 2018, where he was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer in June 2017; Naval Support Activity Bahrain as the Operations Senior Enlisted Leader from June 2018 – June 2022; and Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as Port Operations DLCPO and Senior Enlisted Leader from August 2022 – November 2024 and was selected for the Command Senior Chief Program in February 2024.

CMDCS was selected to serve on USS Dextrous (MCM 13) as the Command Senior Chief and will report in December 2024.

CMDCS House is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 203/Brown Group) and holds an Associate of Arts Degree from Central Texas College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Workforce Education and Development from Southern Illinois University. 

His personal decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (9 awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (2 awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
