CMDCM Monique Greenidge

Command Master Chief Monique A. Greenidge, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana enlisted in the Navy through the Delayed Entry Program and completed basic training at Recruit Training Command Orlando, Florida in December 1991.  Following basic training, she attended Yeoman “A” School in Meridian, Mississippi.

Upon graduating from Yeoman “A” School, Master Chief Greenidge reported to the Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Readiness Center Portland, Oregon.  Her follow on assignments include:  Readiness Command Region TEN, Patrol Squadron NINETY-FOUR (VP-94), and Surface Reserve Force. 

In 2003, Master Chief Greenidge was detailed to Recruit Training Command Great Lakes as a Recruit Division Commander (RDC).  She was personally responsible for the transformation of 3,800 recruits into Sailors and earned the coveted RDC “Distinguished Leadership Award”.  Her following assignment was at Explosive Ordnance Disposal Operational Support Unit TEN as the Administrative Officer and Senior Enlisted Leader then on to Navy Region Southeast Reserve Component Command as the Regional Mobilization and Operations Department Leading Chief Petty Officer. In 2012, she reported to Navy Reserve Forces Command and served as the Operations Department Senior Enlisted Leader.  In 2015, she was selected to the Command Master Chief (CMC) program and served the following tours as a CMC: 2015 - USS STERETT (DDG 104); 2018 - Navy Operational Support Center San Diego.  In 2021, she reported to NAS JRB NOLA where she currently serves as the Installation Command Master Chief.

Her personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various service ribbons.  Command Master Chief Greenidge is a qualified Master Training Specialist and graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Touro University, a Master’s Degree from Gonzaga University, and is currently a Doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California.
