Our mission is to enhance the readiness of Active Duty and Reserve members (on active duty for 30 days or more) of the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard and to protect and enhance their morale and promote their welfare, by providing quality legal services regarding personal legal matters to eligible persons, and to educate eligible persons regarding their personal legal rights and responsibilities. Because we are at an overseas location, we may be able to assist DoD civilians as well.

The Naval Legal Service Offfice provides legal assistance services to Active Duty and Reserve members of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Coast Guard, and their dependents and defense services to military members. This includes family law assistance, immigration, and tax preparation. Assistance is provided to civilians, contractors, DoD personnel, and retirees as resources permit. Our office provides powers of attorney, notaries and bills of sale to all members of the Guantanamo community.
